On a Mac this is short, because Safari can turn any web page into an app with one menu item. The board then has its own window, its own icon in the Dock, and can open at login.
Time: about 5 minutes.
YOUR-BOARD-ARTIFACT-URL (README, step 2).The board is now an app in the Dock. It is saved in the Applications folder of your home folder, and you can also open it with Spotlight.
Click the Day board icon in the Dock. Sign in to claude.ai when asked. A Safari web app keeps its own sign-in, separate from Safari, so you sign in once inside the app.
Drag the edge of the window until it is about as wide as a phone. The board is made for a narrow window. The window remembers its size.
The app is already in the Dock. To be sure it stays there, right-click its icon, choose Options, and tick Keep in Dock.
macOS has no built-in setting to keep one window above all others. A third-party window tool can do it. Without one, a quick way to reach the board is to click its Dock icon, or press Command + Tab.
Safari web apps need macOS Sonoma or later. On an older Mac:
This puts a link to the board in the Dock. It opens as a normal browser tab, not its own window.
The board link never changes. When the board is updated, the app shows the new version. Quit the app (Command + Q) and open it again to load it.
The board cannot send Mac notifications itself. The daily messages are Claude scheduled tasks. They arrive as push notifications in the Claude app, and can also be sent by email.
